Assalamualaikum and happy ramadhan everyone. Some of us believe that frusemide has low- ceiling effect for diuresis. But, it is wrong. Thiazide has low-ceiling diuretic effect while frusemide has high-ceiling diuretic effect.
The effect of thiazide 25 mg in hypertensive patient is same with the effect of thiazide 6.25 mg with combination of ACE-I and Beta blocker.
Dose of frusemide can be increased in hospitalized patient when diuresis is inadequate to relieve congestion in management of heart failure patient. This indicates that frusemide is high-ceiling diuretic.

high ceiling diuretic ni, dose related..lagi kita tinggi kan dose frusemide, lagi diuresis efek nya tinggi. Seperti dalam management of hypertensive patient, kita boleh increase kan dose frusemide sekiranya, dose yang rendah itu tidak mampu untuk relievekan edema in congestive heart failure patient
low dose diuretic seperti thiazide..guna low dose pun dah sama macam guna high dose. efek sama.
